The festival is held during the summer months, typically in July or August. The scheduled date for 2026 is Saturday, August 1st. The fireworks will be launched for approximately 90 minutes, from 19:00 to 20:30. The most breathtaking moments occur during the darkness after sunset when the vibrant colors are most vivid. Please note that the event may be canceled in the event of bad weather or river conditions, and there is no rescheduled date in case of cancellation.
For the best experience, we highly recommend using the paid seating areas. The "Paid Free Seating" (2,000 JPY) is available in the hard/soft baseball field areas or the embankment slopes (Area 14-17). Tickets must be purchased in advance through designated methods, such as at Seven-Eleven convenience stores. Additionally, the event often features activities like photo contests, allowing you to capture and share the perfect moment of the fireworks.
The Arakawa riverbank in Itabashi is accessible via several stations. If you plan to use the free viewing areas, it is highly recommended to use "Takashimadaira Station" on the Toei Mita Line. To avoid extreme congestion, visitors are advised to avoid using other nearby stations like Nishidai, Hasune, or JR Umebukano-watari during the peak event time.
To enjoy the festival, please follow the designated rules and etiquette. If using paid seating, please prepare a leisure sheet (within 90cm x 90cm).
