Since its development starting in the 1980s, it has evolved into the Cao Cao Farm Co., Ltd., establishing a seamless system that integrates production, processing, sales, and tourism. The farm plays a vital role in promoting dairy culture and educating the public about food safety and the origins of their food.
There are many diverse spots to enjoy at Cao Cao Farm. One of the most popular is the 'Hitsujigaoka Observatory,' which offers a panoramic view of the Takachiho peaks. This spot features a famous pink door, making it a perfect photo spot for travelers. The scenery changes beautifully with the seasons: enjoy cherry blossoms in spring, a sea of yellow sunflowers in summer, and cosmos flowers in autumn. Additionally, the 'Animal Interaction Land' allows for direct and heartwarming contact with cows and sheep.
The farm's appearance changes dramatically depending on the season. Visit in spring (around April) for cherry blossoms, summer (July–August) for sunflowers, or autumn for the cosmos season. Planning your visit around the peak bloom of these flowers will ensure the most beautiful views. For the best experience, we recommend visiting in the morning when the air is relatively cool and the animals are most active and lively.
Cao Cao Farm offers unique experiential activities that you won't find in daily life, including animal interaction, farm tours, and hands-on workshops. The on-site restaurant serves delicious menus featuring ingredients sourced directly from the farm. Furthermore, you can purchase the farm's famous branded products, such as their signature 'drinking yogurt' and 'cafe au lait,' through their online shop from anywhere in the country.

As most activities take place outdoors, we recommend wearing comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothing. Please be mindful of footwear cleanliness and potential weather changes when walking among the animals. Regarding pets, please note that bringing animals is prohibited to prevent the spread of diseases, with the exception of service dogs (guide dogs, etc.). The facility includes a large parking lot capable of accommodating 1,020 standard cars and 20 large buses. Accessibility for service dogs is fully supported.
