Omocha Okoku, located in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, is a unique theme park built around the concept of a "Toy Museum" where toys from all over the world converge. The park opened its doors on April 27, 1996, in the Tamano area of Okayama. It was established on the site previously known as "Prince Fancy Land." The facility serves as a central hub for the Omocha Okoku brand, which manages several locations across Japan. Throughout its history, the park has refined its identity, evolving through various changes to establish the current highly successful "Toy Kingdom" concept that welcomes families today.
The park is filled with areas where children can interact with products from various toy manufacturers. The areas dedicated to Takara Tomy products and Sanrio characters are particularly popular and serve as major draws for young visitors. A standout feature is the "Omocha no Oheya" (Toy Room), an indoor facility where children can enjoy playing with characters like Koeda-chan, Mel-chan, Tomica, Plarail, Licca-chan, Sylvanian Families, and Diabloc. Omocha Okoku is accessible throughout the year. During the summer months (July and August), the park often hosts special seasonal events such as "Omocha Okoku Chappuru!" to keep children cool and entertained. It is also important to note that during long holidays like Spring Break, Summer Vacation, or Golden Week, the park typically operates without its usual Tuesday closures.
