Each course offers a different level of intensity based on the distance traveled, water depth, temperature, and lighting. Discovered on August 25, 1927, the cave was formerly known as "Takine Fudo Cave." It is a vital part of the 'Abukuma Cave System,' a geological marvel shaped by the water sources flowing from the south of Mount Otone.

The cave follows a single-path structure that branches out depending on how far you venture. Course A covers approximately 150m, Course B reaches about 600m, and Course C extends to 900m. As you progress beyond Course B, the lighting becomes minimal and the water temperature drops to around 10°C, making proper preparation essential. In certain sections, the water depth can reach above the knees of an adult male.

Depending on the course chosen, you can enjoy different levels of exploration. While Course A can be enjoyed in regular clothing, Courses B and C require preparation for getting wet. For Course B, it is highly recommended to bring a headlamp, waterproof handheld light, a change of clothes, and extra footwear. Course C is strictly by reservation and must be explored accompanied by a professional guide.
