Jupia Land Hirata is a scenic park located in Hirata Village, Ishikawa District, Fukushima Prefecture, characterized by its breathtaking seasonal floral landscapes. The park utilizes the natural hilly terrain to create a spectacular view where pink moss phlox (Shibazakura) covers the slopes like a vibrant pink carpet during the spring. As the season transitions into early summer, the landscape transforms again with the blooming of hydrangeas and lilies, offering a different palette of colors. The well-maintained environment and strategic viewpoints allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the flowers and the surrounding scenery.
This area has been developed as a key tourism hub that leverages the natural environment of Hirata Village. The moss phlox landscape, in particular, is recognized as a symbol of the region's natural beauty. Through seasonal flower festivals and local cultural events, such as the "World Hydrangea and Lily Festival," the village shares its unique charm with both domestic and international visitors. This commitment to preserving the harmony between nature and the community serves as the foundation for maintaining these beautiful landscapes.

The park features different seasonal star plants strategically placed throughout the grounds. From April to May, the highlight is the moss phlox, which dyes the hillsides in a brilliant pink. From late June to late July, the Hydrangea Garden and Lily Garden open, showcasing a variety of colors including purple, white, and pink. A viewing deck is also available, providing an elevated vantage point to gaze upon the vast expanse of flowers. Additionally, visitors can check the current blooming status via live cameras before their visit to ensure they see the flowers at their peak.
The best time to visit depends heavily on the flowers you wish to see. For the iconic pink moss phlox, visit between April and May. For the hydrangeas and lilies, the season runs from late June to late July. Opening hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, and 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on weekends/holidays. During certain periods, an "Early Morning Opening" is implemented, allowing you to enjoy the flowers in the crisp, fresh morning air. During the moss phlox festival, there may also be evening light-up events.

Beyond just sightseeing, the park offers ways to navigate the terrain comfortably. You can use the sightseeing carts to move around the park more easily. Depending on the season, outdoor live music or stage events may be held, allowing you to enjoy nature accompanied by music. The park also hosts initiatives like Instagram photo contests, encouraging visitors to capture and share their beautiful memories of the landscape.
