Hamaori-sai is a deeply rooted traditional festival held annually on 'Marine Day' in July at Nishihama Beach, Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The most spectacular moment is when numerous Mikoshi surge toward the shore and plunge into the waves, creating a dynamic spectacle that showcases the Japanese tradition of purification through water.
