In summer, the landscape is filled with lush greenery, while from late September to late October, the mountainside transforms into a tapestry of red and yellow autumn colors. The gradual color gradient that shifts from the summit down to the base is a unique spectacle found only on this route.
Each season offers a distinct experience. Spring (late May to June) is ideal for seeing the snow walls right after the road opens. Summer (July to August) is perfect for a refreshing drive amidst fresh greenery and mountain air. Autumn (late September to late October) allows you to enjoy the changing colors as they descend from the summit to the foothills. Please note that the road is closed for the winter season from early November to late April; it is essential to check the opening status before your visit.
