Uchiagegawa Chisuiryoku Green Space is a multifunctional urban park located in Uzumasa Sakuragaoka, Neyagawa City, Osaka Prefecture. This facility was specifically designed as a flood control reservoir to regulate the water flow of the Neyagawa and Uchiage Rivers during heavy rainfall. While it can store approximately 270,000 m³ of water during floods, it serves as a vast, open green space for citizens to relax and enjoy nature during normal weather. It is a precious urban green space that functions as both a disaster prevention area and a leisure destination.
This green space was developed by Osaka Prefecture to manage river water flow through advanced flood control technology. Beyond its practical function as a reservoir, it has become a vital part of the local community's infrastructure. The area is deeply connected to local culture and seasonal traditions, evolving into a place that protects the natural environment of Neyagawa while supporting the daily lives of its residents.

The park offers a different atmosphere depending on the season. A major highlight is the cherry blossom illumination in spring, where the illuminated trees create a poetic and serene nocturnal landscape. The facility also features a well-equipped BBQ area, making it a perfect spot for gatherings with family and friends. Visitors can also experience unique local events such as the 'Neyagawa Festival' or the 'Eco Festa,' which bring the community together through nature.
Activities vary by season. From March to April, the cherry blossom season is highly recommended; the nighttime light-ups offer a stunning view. From summer to autumn, you can enjoy various events like the 'Neyagawa Festival' in August, the 'Genki Ikiki Sports Festival' in October, and the 'Eco Festa' in November. Each season offers a unique way to experience the changing landscape.

The wide-open space allows for various outdoor activities. The BBQ area, which can accommodate approximately 250 people, is a popular spot for dining amidst nature. Whether you are looking for a quiet stroll, a relaxing break, or participating in local sporting events, the park accommodates both active and peaceful lifestyles. During calm weather, it is an ideal place to listen to the sounds of nature and unwind.
The park is adjacent to the residential and transport infrastructure of Neyagawa City. It is bordered by Osaka Prefectural Road 18 to the north and the Uchiage River to the south. It is easily accessible via Keihan Electric Railway or Keihan Bus, making it a convenient destination for visitors from both Neyagawa and neighboring cities. Access by car is also smooth via National Route 170 (Osaka Outer Loop Expressway).

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing suitable for walking or outdoor activities. If you plan to use the BBQ area, please bring your own equipment and ingredients. Please note that renovation work is scheduled from March 2026 to March 2027, which may limit access. While most activities are free, please follow general public park etiquette, such as taking your trash home and being mindful of noise levels.
