Toranomon Hills is a massive multi-purpose urban complex located in the Toranomon and Atago area of Minato City, Tokyo. It consists of five major components: Mori Tower, Business Tower, Residential Tower, Station Tower, and Glass Lock. Far more than just a business district, it is a compact urban hub where commerce, hospitality, residential living, and cultural events seamlessly converge.
The development of this area traces back to the 1946 planning of the Second Circular Route (now Route 405). After overcoming long-term land acquisition challenges, a groundbreaking redevelopment project was launched following the 1989 establishment of the multi-level road system, which allowed buildings to be constructed above undergrounded roads. With the opening of Mori Tower in 2014, the Business Tower in 2020, and the completion of the Station Tower in 2023, the area has evolved into a modern model of urban development that integrates infrastructure with high-level commercial functions.

There is a diverse range of spots to enjoy depending on your purpose and the time of day. For instance, 'TOKYO NODE' on the 45th to 49th floors of the Station Tower and the luxury 'Andaz Tokyo' in the Mori Tower offer profound connections to urban landscapes and culture. The 'Glass Lock' commercial area features a striking design reminiscent of white ingots, offering an open space with grand escalators and atriums. Additionally, 'Toranomon Yokocho' on the 3rd floor of the Business Tower provides a nostalgic alleyway atmosphere with 26 specialized shops, allowing you to experience authentic Japanese food culture up close.
The atmosphere of the facilities changes depending on the hour. You can enjoy business lunches, sophisticated evening dinners, or even late-night venues. The area is dotted with public art and lush green plazas, making it perfect for a relaxing stroll during the day or enjoying the illuminated cityscape at night.
Toranomon Hills offers a wide array of experiences, from shopping and gourmet dining to art and business. You can discover the latest lifestyle trends at fashion and jewelry boutiques, enjoy dining at 'T-MARKET', or attend exhibitions at various event spaces. The area also serves as a hub for cultural exchange and social dialogue.
Located in the heart of Minato-ku, the complex is surrounded by major business hubs and high-end residential neighborhoods. With direct access to Toranomori Hills Station and Toranomon Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, it is easily accessible from major sightseeing areas like Ginza and Hibiya. The 'T-Deck' pedestrian bridge also ensures easy movement across the area.
The facility is designed with barrier-free accessibility, making it easy to navigate with wheelchairs or strollers. While most shops accept credit cards and IC cards, carrying some cash is recommended for smaller vendors. English signage and support are available in major facilities and hotels. Photography is generally permitted in public areas, but please respect the rules of individual shops. For luxury hotels and fine dining, smart casual attire is recommended.
