The Toikigawa Sakura Tree-lined Path is a scenic destination located on the right bank of the Toiki River in Arisuyama Town, Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture. Stretching approximately 2 kilometers from Hachiman Bridge to Gakko-bashi Bridge, about 250 Somei Yoshino cherry trees line the river, creating a unique landscape where the embankment curves gracefully. In spring, the scenery is a vibrant tapestry of colors, with the soft pink of the cherry blossoms beautifully contrasting with the bright yellow of the blooming rapeseed flowers (nanohana) near Gakko-bashi Bridge. Because it is located only about an hour from central Tokyo, it is an ideal destination for a relaxing day trip.

The most spectacular view is the 2km stretch of cherry blossoms between Hachiman Bridge and Gakko-bashi Bridge. Due to the curved shape of the embankment, there are many open vantage points where you can gaze down the long line of blossoms. A standout feature is the 'Ookura Hana no Kairo' (Ookura Flower Corridor) near Gakko-bashi Bridge, where the combination of pink cherry blossoms and yellow rapeseed flowers creates a breathtaking, colorful spectacle that can only be seen during this specific season.
The best time to visit is from March to April, specifically timed with the full bloom of the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms. We recommend visiting during daylight hours to fully appreciate the vivid contrast between the pink and yellow flowers. Since the area is open 24 hours, you can also enjoy a peaceful, early morning stroll to avoid the daytime crowds.
The paths along the riverbank are well-maintained, making it an excellent spot for walking, jogging, or a gentle stroll in nature. Walking in such a serene environment is a great way to refresh your mind and body. Additionally, local events such as the 'Arisuyama Sakura Festival' are sometimes held, allowing visitors to experience the lively local culture and seasonal festivities.
