A highlight of the season is the 'Hokotenri' event held in late November, where the area is transformed into a pedestrian-only zone. This allows visitors to walk freely through the streets, which are normally used by cars, and experience the stunning scenery up close without any traffic concerns.
The ginkgo trees in this area have long been cherished as street trees. In many urban settings, male ginkgo trees are often planted to avoid the strong odor associated with female trees. Ginkgo trees are also known for their longevity and resilience, changing their appearance with the seasons.
