Tatsuo Natural Park is a beautiful destination located in Uto City, Kumamoto Prefecture. The park is characterized by the presence of two distinct water bodies, Takaike Pond and Hanazono Pond, which are encircled by approximately 2,000 cherry trees. The ponds within the park, Takaike and Hanazono, hold significant historical value, as tradition suggests they were excavated by the famous daimyo Kato Kiyomasa. The most spectacular sight is the ring of cherry blossoms surrounding the ponds.
