Takinosawa Observatory is a scenic viewpoint located at an altitude of 698m, situated near the border of Hirosaki City in Aomori Prefecture and Kosaka Town in Akita Prefecture. As you ascend National Route 102 and pass through the lush beech forest, the view suddenly opens up to reveal a magnificent landscape. The vantage point offers a bird's-eye view of the Nakayama and Mikura Peninsulas stretching across the surface of Lake Towada.
