Shirakimine Kogen is a breathtaking scenic plateau located at an altitude of approximately 350m on the slopes of Mt. Gakesan (1,057m) in Isahaya, Nagasaki Prefecture. In spring, the hills are blanketed by approximately 100,000 canola flowers, while in autumn, about 200,000 cosmos flowers bloom in a spectacular display of color. It is renowned as one of the top flower-viewing destinations in the prefecture. As you feel the refreshing breeze of the plateau, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Isahaya Bay and the surrounding mountains of Unzen.

Another unique highlight is the 'Cosmos Flower Space Museum,' a facility that combines an astronomical observatory with an art gallery. The observatory features a 270-degree panoramic deck and a glass-walled hall, allowing visitors to enjoy the view of the sky and the landscape simultaneously.
