The park is divided into two distinct zones: the sports facility area (approx. 17.8 hectares) managed by Gunma Prefecture, and the recreation area (approx. 19.8 hectares) managed by Maebashi City. With a total area of about 37.6 hectares, it is a truly massive space. In 1989, it was selected as one of Japan's '100 Best Urban Parks,' highlighting its successful integration of high-level athletic spaces and natural landscapes.

For instance, while the swimming pool is a popular summer destination, please be aware of the current reconstruction period (from October 1, 2024, to October 31, 2028), during which use is suspended. In the recreation area, you can enjoy the seasonal blooming of roses or peaceful strolls through the greenery. We recommend planning your visit based on the operating hours of specific facilities or the Park Management Office (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM).
