Located in Sera Town, Sera District, Hiroshima Prefecture, Sera Lily Garden is a vast, 7-hectare all-weather flower farm nestled within the rich natural beauty of the Sera Highlands. Operating under the concept of "A Hill Connecting Nature and People," the garden offers a breathtaking landscape where seasonal flowers bloom in harmony with the environment. It is renowned as one of Japan's largest lily gardens, cultivating approximately 700,000 lilies across 140 different varieties throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy more than just admiring the lilies; the experience includes viewing diverse seasonal flowers, marveling at giant flower art, interacting with baby goats, and even enjoying an auto-camping experience in the heart of nature.
The garden opened in the autumn of 2004, utilizing the exceptional natural environment of the Sera Highlands to focus on the cultivation and sale of lilies. Beyond being a simple sightseeing spot, it serves as a local "Flower Station" designed to provide energy, inspiration, and healing to all who visit. As an all-weather facility designed to work with the highland topography, the garden's scenery shifts beautifully with the seasons, making it a symbolic landscape of the region's natural culture.

The greatest attraction is the colorful landscape spreading across the vast hills. During the peak lily season, the sight of hundreds of thousands of lilies is truly overwhelming. The garden also features one of Japan's largest giant flower art installations, allowing visitors to enjoy the sculptural beauty of floral arrangements. Depending on when you visit, you can also see a variety of other flowers such as daffodils, tulips, freesias, peonies, and marigolds, ensuring a different and beautiful experience every time.
Because the main flowers change with the seasons, the scenery is always evolving. From April to June, the lily season is the most spectacular highlight. However, you can also enjoy tulips and daffodils in the spring, peonies and poppies in the summer, and marigolds in the autumn. The bright daylight hours are perfect for observing the vivid colors of the hills. For those looking for a deeper connection with nature, the onsite auto-camping area allows you to stay overnight and experience the profound stillness of the night and the crisp, fresh air of the morning.
Sera Lily Garden offers much more than just visual beauty; it provides direct interaction with nature. The baby goat interaction area is a favorite for both children and adults, providing a heartwarming way to connect with animals. Additionally, the onsite auto-camping site allows you to set up your tent and enjoy an outdoor lifestyle surrounded by greenery. Whether it is through the art of flower arrangements or the simple joy of camping, the garden blends nature and art seamlessly.
The Sera Highlands area, where the garden is located, is a region famous for its many farms and plantations. Nearby facilities like the Sera Taiyo Farm contribute to the area's reputation as a rich agricultural hub. The area is an excellent destination for driving or touring, making it a perfect stop on a scenic route to enjoy the natural landscapes of Hiroshima Prefecture.
Since the garden is located on a vast hilly terrain with some slopes and unpaved paths, we highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor movement. It is also wise to bring a light jacket or a foldable umbrella to prepare for sudden weather changes.
