The park is well-equipped with facilities for camping, auto-camping, and mallet golf, providing a serene environment where visitors can truly connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful escape from daily life.
The park is steeped in local legend dating back to the Sengoku (Warring States) period. According to local lore, a mountain castle known as Kitayama Castle once stood in this vicinity. It is said that during a historical invasion, the soldiers and their equipment were buried in this area. This historical connection gave rise to the name "Senninzuka," which translates to "Thousand People's Mound," honoring the memory of the past.

The landscape of the park changes beautifully with every season. Visitors can enjoy the grand scale of the Central Alps alongside the tranquil lake scenery. The park is also an excellent spot for stargazing and observing local wildlife and flora. In addition to its natural beauty, the park offers active amenities such as a mallet golf course and various camping facilities. Depending on the season, you can witness the delicate beauty of cherry blossoms in spring or the vibrant colors of autumn leaves.
Each season offers a unique experience: enjoy the pink hues of cherry blossoms in spring and the brilliant foliage of autumn. The park is particularly famous for its stargazing; the clear, crisp air at night provides an unparalleled view of the starry sky. Please note that from December to March, the operating hours are shortened to 15:00. It is highly recommended to check the schedule before your visit during the winter months.

With well-maintained camping and auto-camping sites, you can enjoy an overnight stay surrounded by nature. For those looking for more active engagement, the mallet golf course offers a unique way to spend your time. Whether it is observing seasonal plants or simply watching the light play on the lake, the park offers a diverse range of outdoor experiences.
