Seiren-ji is a temple of the Chisan branch of the Shingon sect, located in Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture. The symbol of this site, the Seiren-ji Kannon-do Hall, is designated as an Important Cultural Property and is a precious structure that preserves the architectural style of the Muromachi period. The history of this temple is deep and significant, known as one of the oldest temple architectures in the Matsumoto area. The principal deity, the Nyoirin Kannon statue, dates back to the Kamakura period. In particular, during the autumn season in November, the large ginkgo tree within the temple grounds turns a vibrant yellow, creating a stunning golden carpet on the ground.
