Sashiki Castle is a historic site located in Ashikita Town, Ashikita District, Kumamoto Prefecture. Built upon Mt. Shiroyama at an elevation of 87.5 meters, this castle once played a vital strategic role as a key junction for both maritime and land transportation. Today, the site is known as the Sashiki Castle Ruins and is maintained as Shiroyama Park, welcoming history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
