Ryugen-ji is a historic temple located in Oita Prefecture. This structure is also known as the 'Taishi-to' (Prince's Tower) because it is dedicated to the veneration of Prince Shotoku. As a sub-temple of Chion-in, the head temple of the Jodo sect, it has been deeply connected to local religious practices for centuries.
