Orihime Park is a vast natural space covering 10.5 hectares, located in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture. Since its development in 1976, it has been a beloved destination for both locals and tourists. The highlight of the park is the 'Kagamiiwa Observatory' located at the northern end. Situated in a mountainous area with elevations between 60 and 160 meters, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the vast Kanto Plain on clear days. Furthermore, the park was officially registered as a 'Japanese Nightscape Heritage' site in 2014, making its nocturnal scenery highly acclaimed.
The park is steeped in local history and culture. The adjacent 'Orihime Shrine' serves as a starting point for hiking trails within the Ashikaga Prefectural Natural Park, embodying the deep-rooted connection between local faith and the natural environment. The area serves as both a site for nature conservation and a peaceful retreat for the community.

Nature unfolds differently throughout the year. Spring (March–May) brings cherry blossoms and azaleas, while Autumn (September–November) offers brilliant foliage. Visiting at night is highly recommended to experience the magical atmosphere of the Japanese Nightscape Heritage site.
Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls or use the park as a starting point for hiking trails within the Ashikaga Prefectural Natural Park. There is also a restaurant building on-site where you can relax and enjoy a break while taking in the scenery.
Next to the park lies the historic Orihime Shrine, offering a sense of spiritual tranquility. The surrounding area also features other cultural landmarks such as Nishimiya Shrine and Choryin-ji Temple, allowing visitors to experience the local culture alongside their nature walks.
