Omiya Hana no Oka Norin Koen is a beautiful agricultural and forestry park located in Nishi Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. The park is meticulously planted with various flora that change with the seasons, offering visitors a dynamic landscape. As summer approaches, the scenery is transformed by the brilliant colors of salvia, which typically begins to bloom around August. Each season brings a new reason to visit.
The best time to visit depends on the seasonal blooms you wish to see. Spring (March to May) is ideal for tulips and cherry blossoms, while summer (from August) is perfect for seeing salvia. Autumn also offers unique seasonal plants. Please note the seasonal operating hours: from April to September (Summer Time), the park is open from 7:30 to 19:00. From October to March (Winter Time), the hours are 8:00 to 18:00. Visiting in the early morning is highly recommended for a quiet, serene stroll in a peaceful environment.
Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through the various paths or immerse themselves in the seasonal floral displays. The Japanese-style garden offers a more meditative atmosphere, perfect for a slow-paced walk through traditional landscapes. For those traveling by car, the park is highly accessible with a large parking lot that accommodates up to 250 vehicles.
The park is surrounded by other nature-rich facilities, such as the Shimin no Mori and the Minuma Green Center. It is easily accessible from major hubs like Omiya Station or Ageo Station via local bus services, making it a well-integrated part of the local natural landscape.
Due to the vast size of the park, we strongly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Please be aware that pets are strictly prohibited within the park grounds. Additionally, ball games such as baseball or soccer are not allowed. While there is ample parking for 250 cars, please be mindful of potential congestion during peak seasons.
