The facility is divided into several areas that combine elements of an aquarium, botanical garden, and zoo. NIFREL reveals different expressions depending on the time of day. In the evenings, the museum may host special programs such as "Touching the Night." The facility provides a comfortable environment, but visitors should wear clothing suitable for walking and observing. While photography is generally permitted, the use of flash and tripods is restricted to protect the exhibits and the well-being of the creatures. For payments, credit cards and various transportation IC cards are accepted in addition to cash.
