The beach is particularly famous for its gentle, shallow topography, making it an ideal spot for a wide range of visitors during the summer season.
The coastline has long been cherished for its unique natural scenery. Historically, the area was famous for the 'Futatsuiwa' (Two Rocks)—striking rock formations standing in the sea. Although erosion over time affected the original structures, the landscape has been beautifully preserved through modern engineering, using carbon fiber-reinforced concrete to recreate the essence of these iconic rocks. Additionally, the sight of the vermilion torii gate standing against the ocean creates a striking cultural landscape where nature and tradition meet.

During this period, a lifeguard and first-aid station are stationed on-site to ensure visitor safety. Furthermore, the area is a renowned spot for viewing the first sunrise of the year, offering a breathtaking view of the sun rising near the coastal torii gate.
Visitors can enjoy various leisure activities such as playing in the sand or exploring the shoreline. Please note that water sports, barbecues, the use of open flames, and driving vehicles onto the beach are strictly prohibited. While you can enjoy the seaside atmosphere during the official summer opening, please be aware that there are no shower facilities or changing rooms on-site, so advanced preparation is essential.
The vicinity features historical sites such as the Nakoso-no-Seki Park and other areas related to the scenic 'Nakoso Hakkei'. There are also numerous accommodation facilities in the area, making it a popular destination for travelers planning an extended seaside stay. The beach is relatively accessible from JR Nakoso Station on the Joban Line.
When visiting Nakoso Beach, please keep the following points in mind: First, as there are no showers or changing rooms available, you must bring your own swimwear, a change of clothes, and any necessary toiletries. Second, the use of fire, barbecues, and bringing dangerous items is strictly prohibited. While there is a free municipal parking lot for about 400 cars, it can become very crowded during peak times. Please respect the local environment and follow all rules to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
