Nakasu Cruise provides a unique way to explore the waters of the Naka River and Hakata Bay, located in the heart of Fukuoka City. There are two main routes available: the 30-minute Nakasu Cruise and the 45-minute Hakata Bay Cruise. Depending on the time of day and the course you choose, you can experience many different facets of Fukuoka's charm.
The Nakasu area is a symbol of Fukuoka's nightlife, where the traditional food stalls lined along the river have supported a unique culinary culture for generations. This cruise offers a special perspective to view these urban landscapes, historical buildings, and modern city lights from the water. The Nakasu Cruise takes you past the colorful neon signs of the Nakasu food stall streets and historical landmarks such as the Red Brick Culture Center and Bayside Place Hakata. The cruise operates from 11:00 to 22:00, offering a variety of scenery from bright daytime landscapes to glamorous night cruises. The night scenery is especially famous for the way the neon lights of Nakasu dance on the river waves. For the Hakata Bay Cruise, we recommend visiting during times when you can fully enjoy the sense of openness on the sea alongside the city's night view. Please note that routes may change or services may be suspended due to weather or sea conditions, so it is wise to check the latest operational status in advance.
Inside the boat, seating is generally free-style, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery at your own pace. You can experience the bustling street life of Nakasu on the shorter route, or the vastness of the ocean on the longer route. Additionally, you can enhance your experience by pre-ordering food and drinks, such as pizza and beverages, to enjoy while cruising. This provides a complete way to experience both the urban and coastal charms of Fukuoka.
The reception and boarding point is located at the Fukubai Ai Bridge (Tenjin Chuo Park Pier). This area is very close to the Tenjin and Nakasu entertainment districts, making it an easy stop during your sightseeing. There are many restaurants and shops in the vicinity, so you can easily enjoy Fukuoka's famous gourmet food before or after your cruise.
While seating is free-style, please prepare clothing suitable for the temperature and weather of the season to stay comfortable. We recommend arriving at the reception area at least 5 minutes before departure. While you may bring your own food and drinks, pre-ordered pizzas and beverages are also available for purchase. Regarding pets, please consult the reception counter in advance, as there may be restrictions depending on how crowded the boat is.
