Nagashima Spaland is a massive-scale theme park located in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture. Its most defining feature is its collection of world-class thrill rides. Guests seeking high-intensity excitement can experience the legendary hybrid coaster 'Hakugei' or the ultra-high-speed 'Steel Dragon 2000.' Beyond the adrenaline-pumping coasters, the park is designed for all ages, featuring 'Kids' Town' for young children and the 'Aurora' Ferris wheel, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Opened in 1964, this facility has evolved as a leisure destination integrated with Nagashima Onsen (hot spring) culture. Since the late 1970s, the park has strategically introduced high-performance roller coasters to target younger crowds, establishing itself as one of Western Japan's premier destinations for thrill-seekers. The park also features a charming connection to the world-famous 'Peter Rabbit' character, which is reflected in the park's scenery and exclusive merchandise. The area has grown into the 'Nagashima Resort,' a comprehensive destination that includes large-scale outlet malls and hot spring facilities.

The park boasts over 60 different attractions, many of which are high-intensity coasters. Iconic rides such as 'Hakugei,' 'Steel Dragon 2000,' and 'Arashi' are must-do experiences for any visitor. For those traveling with small children, 'Kids' Town' provides a safe and fun environment with approximately 30 child-friendly attractions. Additionally, the massive 'Aurora' Ferris wheel allows visitors to enjoy a relaxing moment while gazing out over the beautiful Ise Bay.
During the summer, the 'Jumbo Water Park' opens, making the park a hub for water-based activities and outdoor fun. Please note that during peak seasons like summer vacation, Golden Week, and the Obon holidays, the park becomes extremely crowded. Popular rides like 'Hakugei' may have wait times exceeding 2 hours during these periods. To enjoy the attractions more smoothly, we recommend visiting on weekdays in the morning. As operating hours vary by season, please check the official website before your visit.

For thrill-seekers, the main event is the coaster circuit. However, for those seeking relaxation, we highly recommend visiting the adjacent 'Yuaminoshima' hot spring facility or exploring the nearby shopping areas. Depending on the season, the park also hosts various events. A perfect full-day itinerary for families might include visiting the amusement park in the morning, shopping at the outlet mall in the afternoon, and unwinding in a hot spring in the evening.
Nagashima Spaland is part of the larger 'Nagashima Resort' complex. Adjacent to the park is 'Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream Nagashima,' one of Japan's largest shopping destinations. After a day of excitement, you can refresh your body at the 'Yuaminoshima' hot spring facility. Furthermore, a popular travel plan includes visiting 'Nabana no Sato' nearby, where you can enjoy seasonal botanical displays and spectacular seasonal illuminations.

As most activities are outdoors, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and walking shoes. If you plan to use the water park during summer, please bring swimwear and sandals. Regarding payments, most shops and restaurants accept credit cards, though some specific facilities or situations may require cash. Please follow all safety signs and instructions regarding ride wait times and rules. While advanced reservations are generally not required, arriving early is recommended during busy periods.
