However, following the abolition of Buddhism during the Meiji era, the temple was closed, and the historical legacy was carried forward by Tokushige Shrine, which enshrines Lord Yoshihiro. Even today, the shrine preserves significant cultural heritage, including lanterns donated by the Shimazu family, serving as a vital link to the region's history and spiritual traditions.
