Mikurigaike Pond is one of Japan's most beautiful volcanic lakes, located in Murododaira (altitude 2,450m) along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in Toyama Prefecture. Formed approximately 10,000 years ago, the lake is about 630m in circumference and 15m deep. The crystal-clear blue water acts as a perfect mirror, reflecting the rugged peaks of the Northern Alps, creating a masterpiece of natural scenery that captivates every visitor.
