Mikami Mine Park is renowned as one of the most significant cherry blossom viewing locations in Sendai City. Beyond its natural beauty, the park is a place where nature and history coexist, housing archaeological sites from the Jomon period and monuments related to the former Imperial Japanese Army Junior School.

When strolling through the park, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Since you may be walking on grass or exploring historical sites, casual and easy-to-move-in clothing is best. While there are no specific entrance fees or shops requiring payment inside the park, please carry cash or a transit IC card for any nearby transportation or local amenities. Most signage is primarily in Japanese, so please be prepared for limited English guidance. No prior reservation is required, but as the park can become quite crowded during the peak cherry blossom season, we recommend planning your visit with plenty of time to spare.
