Menuma Seitenzan (Kankiin) is a historic temple located in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture. Its most significant feature is the Kankiin Seitendo, which is designated as a National Treasure of Japan. This structure boasts an ornate architectural style similar to the famous Nikko Toshogu Shrine, characterized by exquisite carvings and vibrant, colorful decorations. The main hall, Kankiin Seitendo, was rebuilt in 1766 (the 10th year of the Horeki era). To combat the natural wear and loss of color over the centuries, a massive restoration project known as the 'Great Heisei Repair' was conducted over approximately seven years starting in 2003.
