Marine Park Omaezaki is a scenic seaside park situated on the east side of Omaezaki Port in Omaezaki City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Facing Suruga Bay, the beach is sheltered, offering calm waters ideal for swimming. The water quality is exceptional, having received an 'AA' rating in the Ministry of the Environment's water quality survey. The park is well-equipped with facilities for a complete seaside stay, including an auto campsite, a kids' playground, and a multi-purpose area.
The park was developed as a coastal recreation area on the east side of Omaezaki Port. The landscape is characterized by palm trees along the coastline, creating a tropical atmosphere. The beach has long been recognized as one of the '100 Best Swimming Beaches in Japan,' a testament to the long-standing efforts to maintain its high water quality and natural environment.

The park features several distinct areas. For families, there is a kids' playground featuring a 51-meter-long 'Turtle Slider.' For those seeking views, an observation deck is equipped with a directional signpost, allowing visitors to identify landmarks ranging from Cape Irozaki in the south to the Southern Alps in the north. Additionally, the 'Umi no Terrace' (Sea Terrace) located in the center of the beach offers a panoramic view of Suruga Bay. Other areas include the campsite and multi-purpose spaces for various leisure activities.
The official swimming season typically runs from mid-July to the end of August. During this period, the full range of beach services and water activities, such as banana boat rides, are available. While the park itself is open year-round, we highly recommend visiting during bright, sunny daytime hours to enjoy the clearest views of Mt. Fuji and the Izu Peninsula. The best months to visit are June, July, and August.
During the summer season, visitors can enjoy various water sports and banana boat rides. For a more immersive experience, the auto campsite allows you to stay overnight while listening to the soothing sound of the waves. The multi-purpose areas are ideal for group gatherings and family outings.
To the west of Marine Park Omaezaki, you can find the Omaezaki Seafood Nabura Market, perfect for enjoying fresh local catches. The park also features an integrated auto campsite, making it an excellent spot for seaside camping and barbecues. Please note that vehicle access to the 'Umi no Terrace' is strictly prohibited.
The park is open year-round, but if you plan to visit during the swimming season (mid-July to late August), please bring swimwear, sandals, and sun protection. It is highly recommended to check specific details for campsite reservations in advance. Parking is free for approximately 460 vehicles. If you are organizing a large-scale event involving many vehicles, prior consultation with the Commerce and Tourism Division is required. Please remember that driving onto the 'Umi no Terrace' area is not allowed.
