Today, it is affectionately known as 'Hirono Nagato' (Hiro's Long Wisteria). A standout feature is the special night-time illumination held during the Wisteria Festival. This allows visitors to experience two distinct atmospheres: the refreshing, bright scenery under the sunlight during the day, and a mystical, dreamlike landscape illuminated by soft lights at night.
The peak season for wisteria is typically from mid-April to early May. During this period, the 'Wisteria Festival' is held. We recommend visiting during the daytime to enjoy the vibrant colors under natural sunlight, and also during the evening to experience the magical atmosphere created by traditional lanterns (bonbori) and lights. Exploring the garden at different times of the day allows you to appreciate the changing expressions of the wisteria flowers.
