Kanasakigu is a historic shrine located at the foot of the former Kanasaki Castle site in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture. It enshrines Prince Kora and Prince Takara, and has long been affectionately known as the 'Shrine of Love' (Koi no Miya). This nickname stems from a romantic legend involving Prince Takara and his wife. The shrine grounds are home to approximately 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees, making it a premier destination for cherry blossom viewing in spring. Situated on the northern slope of Mount Tsutsumi and surrounded by the well-maintained Kanasaki Green Space, the shrine offers a peaceful atmosphere where visitors can worship amidst lush nature.
