Kannoike Park is a sprawling 63-hectare recreational area located in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture. It is home to unique attractions such as the only Ferris wheel in Miyazaki Prefecture and one of the longest sliders in Kyushu, measuring 720 meters in length. The park is fully equipped with hot spring facilities, campsites, bungalows, boat rentals, and go-karts, making it a versatile destination for relaxation and active outdoor adventures.
The park serves as a vital community hub where people can enjoy life in harmony with nature. The surrounding area is deeply connected to local culture, featuring facilities like 'Kannon Sakura no Sato' and 'Kaki no Sato Yuppoppo,' which promote regional development through tourism, hot springs, and accommodation. For many years, it has functioned as a cherished gathering place for families and groups seeking seasonal beauty and leisure.

There are many notable facilities within the park. The Ferris wheel offers a spectacular view of Miyakonojo city and the Kirishima mountain range on clear days. For thrill-seekers, the 720-meter long slider is a favorite for all ages. Other activities include driving go-karts on a 1,000-meter course, enjoying boat rides, or even trying grass skiing on the lawn. In spring, the landscape is transformed by approximately 5,000 blooming cherry trees, creating a stunning visual spectacle.
Activities vary significantly by season. In spring (March and April), the park is ideal for leisurely walks among the 5,000 cherry blossoms. In summer (July and August), the focus shifts to water activities with flowing pools and indoor pools. The 'Kanno Sakura no Sato' hot spring facility is open from 7:00 to 21:00 (last entry at 20:00), making it the perfect way to unwind after a day of activity. Please note that paid attractions/rides are typically only operational on weekends, public holidays, and during the Obon and New Year periods.

From high-energy movement to quiet relaxation, there is something for everyone. Feel the wind in your hair while driving a go-kart or enjoy the changing scenery while sliding down the long track. For those looking to stay longer, the park offers camping and bungalow accommodations, alongside hot spring baths, saunas, and open-air baths. These facilities are excellent for family trips, group training, or company retreats.
The area around the park is well-equipped with amenities such as the 'Kanno Sakura no Sato' hot spring facility and the 'Ranbo' restaurant. With various facilities for camping, lodging, and seminars, visitors can easily enjoy local cuisine and healing experiences in a single trip.
Please bring swimwear and a change of clothes if you plan to use the pools or hot springs. If you are camping or participating in outdoor activities, ensure you have appropriate gear and clothing. For paid rides like go-karts, please note height restrictions (135cm+ for go-karts) and age limits (3rd grade elementary school and above). Since payment methods can vary by facility, it is highly recommended to carry cash. For accommodation or meeting room bookings, please make reservations in advance.
