This park was developed on the site of the 1985 International Science and Technology Exposition (Tsukuba Expo '85). The most iconic feature of the park is the 'Science Gate,' which stands 10 meters tall. This gate has a unique structure that changes its appearance depending on the angle from which you view it, making it a true landmark.
