Jonanjima Seaside Park is a coastal park located in Jonanjima, Ota City, Tokyo, facing the vast Tokyo Bay. Due to its extreme proximity to the runways of Haneda Airport, it has become a premier destination for aviation enthusiasts and photographers looking to capture the powerful sight of planes taking off and landing. The park features 'Tsubasa-hama,' an artificial beach where visitors can enjoy clam digging and water play, and it also hosts a rare auto-camping site within the Tokyo metropolitan area. It is a truly unique recreational area where you can simultaneously experience the sea, the sky, and the dynamism of urban infrastructure.
The area was developed as part of the land reclamation processes in Tokyo Bay. As Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport) evolved, the surrounding landscape and its usage patterns have also transformed. Today, the park serves as a place where nature and urban infrastructure coexist, acting as a hub for leisure, sports, and aviation observation. The management ensures that visitors can safely enjoy the spectacular sight of aircraft passing overhead.

There are diverse spots within the park tailored to your interests. For aviation fans, the 'Observation Plaza' is a must-visit; because it is positioned right near the approach to Haneda's Runway B, it offers an unparalleled view for photography. For nature lovers, 'Tsubasa-hama' provides a chance to enjoy clam digging on the artificial beach. Additionally, the park is well-equipped with active facilities such as the 'Skateboard Plaza,' popular among skaters, and the 'Tsubsa Dog Run,' allowing you to spend quality time with your pets.
The park is enjoyable year-round, but it becomes particularly lively with families during the seasons suitable for clam digging and camping. For aircraft spotting, daytime offers the best visibility, but the silhouette of a plane against a sunset sky is a breathtaking sight. If you use the campsite, we highly recommend looking up at the stars and the lights of passing aircraft in the quiet of the night. Please note that the skateboard plaza and Tsubasa-hama are primarily for daytime use.

Jonanjima Seaside Park offers a variety of ways to escape daily life. At the auto-camping site, you can enjoy camping with your car or a simple day-trip BBQ, providing an outdoor experience while still being close to the city. Skaters can also hone their skills at the dedicated plaza. You can also enjoy a relaxing time strolling along the shore or watching ships cross the sea. Please remember that swimming and fishing are strictly prohibited at Tsubasa-hama.
Nearby, you can find other interesting spots related to Haneda Airport. For instance, Keihinshima Tsubasa Park is located even closer to the runways, offering an even more intimate view of the aircraft. Additionally, Solamuna Ward Green Space offers an observation terrace where you can watch the activity at Haneda Airport. Exploring these areas will give you a deeper understanding of the charm of the Tokyo Bay waterfront area.
Since the park focuses on active pursuits like camping, BBQ, and skateboarding, we recommend wearing comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothing. If you plan to use the campsite, advanced reservations are mandatory. While the park itself is generally open, please note that the Skateboard Plaza and the campsite are closed on Wednesdays (or the following Thursday if Wednesday is a public holiday). The parking lot closes at 21:00, so please plan your evening accordingly. Some camping equipment and supplies may be available for purchase or rental at the on-site shop.
