Iga Seihan Park YY Beach 350 is a beautiful seaside park located in the Yuya area of Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The name is inspired by the two 'Y's in Yuya and the heartfelt wish that this becomes a place where people gather with joy and lively conversation ('waiwai gayagaya'). Because it faces the calm waters of Yuya Bay, it provides a safe and gentle environment for families with small children to enjoy time by the sea.
The park was named with the intention of becoming a vibrant hub where locals and visitors alike can gather and interact. Developed as a natural park, it serves as a key leisure center for the region. It plays an important role in fostering community and social interaction while maintaining a harmonious relationship with the surrounding natural environment.
The greatest highlight is the breathtaking view of the Sea of Japan, characterized by shimmering cobalt blue waters and a gentle shoreline. On clear days, the transparency of the sea is truly mesmerizing. Additionally, during the summer season, various activities and events are held, offering unique seasonal experiences that make every visit special.
The most vibrant time to visit is during the summer (primarily from mid-July to mid-August), when the beach is filled with people enjoying swimming and BBQ. During this peak period, specific events may be held at certain times. For the best experience of the coastal scenery, we recommend visiting during the bright daylight hours.
Beyond swimming in the sea, visitors can enjoy BBQ (barbecue) in designated areas. In the past, the park has also hosted experiential activities such as squid fishing and limited-time workshops, functioning not just as a simple beach but as a versatile leisure hub for active engagement with nature.
Iga Seihan Park YY Beach 350 is situated along popular sightseeing routes in Nagato City. The surrounding area features scenic coastal driving routes and various other natural parks. It is an ideal area to stop by for a relaxing break or outdoor leisure during your travels through Yamaguchi.
For a comfortable beach day, please prepare swimwear, a change of clothes, and towels. If you plan to enjoy a BBQ, please check the rules regarding permitted equipment and food items.
