Inaba Senbonzakura 'Sakura no Sono' is a renowned cherry blossom destination located within the Tottori Prefectural Fuse General Sports Park (Yamata Sports Park). The site was completed in 1986 by the Tottori Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Young Men's Division as a way to develop local tourism resources. The park is home to approximately 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees (Somei Yoshino), creating a beautiful cherry blossom tunnel that leads from the entrance toward the heart of the park. With its vast lawn areas, it serves as a popular gathering place for many visitors during the spring season.
This facility was developed in 1986 (Showa 61) with the goal of creating unique tourism resources for the Tottori region. By focusing on the planting of Yoshino cherry trees, the project aimed to create a landscape that highlights the natural beauty of the area. Today, it stands as a beloved public park used by both local residents and tourists to enjoy the seasonal beauty of Japan.
The most striking feature is the sea of pink provided by the roughly 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees. The approach to the park is a scenic journey through a long avenue of cherry trees. Once inside, the view opens up to a massive lawn area surrounded by blossoms. The peak viewing season is typically in early April, when the density of the blossoms creates a truly spectacular and immersive landscape.
The best time to visit is from March to April, with the absolute peak occurring in early April when the Yoshino trees are in full bloom. If you are driving, please note the parking availability. The parking lot (No. 4 parking) is generally open from 9:00 to 19:00, but from October to March, it closes at 17:00. Please be aware that opening hours and blossom status may change depending on weather conditions or the specific stage of the blooming cycle.
The park's expansive lawn makes it an ideal destination for families and groups. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing time walking under the cherry blossom tunnels or having a picnic on the grass. It is a perfect place to experience the tranquil and beautiful natural scenery of T than Tottori.
Nearby attractions include Koyama Pond, Aoshima Park, and the Seishi Shrine. Other famous cherry blossom spots, such as the Nagase weeping cherry tree, are also located in the vicinity. The area is easily accessible from central Tottori City.
There is no entrance fee for the park itself. However, if you use nearby facilities or parking services, please have cash or electronic money ready.
English signage and staff assistance are limited. It is recommended to use translation apps if needed.
No advanced reservations are required to enter the park.
As you will be spending time outdoors in the spring, we recommend dressing in layers to adapt to changing temperatures.
