Ikomasanjo Amusement Park is a historic destination located at an altitude of approximately 642 meters on Mt. Ikoma in Nara Prefecture. Since its opening in 1929, it has been a beloved spot for generations. The park offers a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Today, the park is specifically designed to cater to families, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for both young children and adults. A standout feature is the 'PLAY PEAK ITADKI,' a massive playground supervised by Bornelund, which brings a modern, high-energy element to the park's traditional charm.
The park boasts a long history, having opened in 1929 (Showa 4). In its earlier years, the area developed as a major leisure hub, once hosting the Ikoma Mountain Kanko Hotel, an astronomical museum, and a space science museum. The 'Hiko-to' (Flying Tower) stands as a central symbol of the park, reflecting its historical architecture. Since 1999, the park has operated with no entrance fee, serving as an open and accessible facility for the local community. In recent years, the park has successfully balanced the preservation of its nostalgic attractions with modern upgrades to meet the needs of contemporary visitors.
Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of attractions, from vintage rides that evoke a sense of nostalgia to modern, large-scale play structures. Please note that because the park is at a higher altitude, the temperature may feel cooler than in the city below, so please dress accordingly.

As the park is located at a higher altitude, it can be cooler than the lowlands. We recommend bringing a light jacket or layers for temperature control. Payments can be made via cash, major credit cards, and various transportation IC cards. While English signage and menus are available, please note that detailed communication may be limited. No prior reservation is required, but please be aware that certain attractions may be temporarily suspended due to high winds or weather conditions.
