One of the greatest attractions of Ikegami Honmonji is the beautiful Japanese garden, 'Shotoen.' The striking silhouette of the tall five-story pagoda also dominates the landscape. When visiting, we recommend wearing modest and calm clothing. As with most temples and shrines, maintaining a quiet and respectful demeanor is essential. If you wish to purchase amulets (omamori) or offer prayers, please prepare cash (Japanese Yen). Please note that access to certain parts of the garden may be restricted during specific periods, so checking in advance is advised. While photography of the beautiful architecture and gardens is generally permitted, please be respectful and refrain from taking photos during religious ceremonies or rituals.
