The origins of this garden trace back to a visionary individual who brought flower cultivation to this region. A former pharmacist, this person sought to enrich the local community and support the regional industry through the beauty of horticulture. By clearing the mountainside and planting various flowers and trees, they laid the foundation for what is now a beloved scenic garden. The winter cherry blossoms were named 'Gencho Sakura' because they bloom around the time of the Lunar New Year (Genjitsu/Gensho), marking a significant cultural connection to the traditional calendar.
