This site was developed using the route of the former "Akatani Line," a railway that once served the Akatani Mine, which was a thriving center for copper mining. This location holds significant historical value as it follows the path of the former Akatani Line railway. After the railway was decommissioned, the route was repurposed into a motor road. The current continuous concrete structures are snow sheds—protective covers designed to prevent avalanches and rockfalls—which preserve the structural essence of the railway era.
