Hanoura Sakura Zutsumi Park is a scenic park located along the Naka River embankments in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture. Developed through a model project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the park was completed in April 1996 in collaboration with the former Hanoura Town. The park features a large central pond surrounded by a lush canopy of cherry trees. It is a beloved local spot for relaxation and a famous landmark for viewing cherry blossoms within the Naka River basin.
The park was established as part of a project to improve river landscapes and revitalize the local community. The local 'Cherry Blossom Festival Preservation Society' plays a vital role in maintaining the park, leading efforts such as planting Yoshino cherry trees and conducting regular cleaning activities. This deep connection between government-led development and community-driven stewardship—characterized by voluntary maintenance and tree planting—is a defining historical feature of this location.
The most striking feature of the park is the large central pond, which is encircled by a magnificent arrangement of cherry trees. During the spring season, the Yoshino cherry blossoms bloom in full, creating a breathtaking view where the pink blossoms reflect beautifully on the water's surface. Additionally, the well-maintained paths along the Naka River embankments allow visitors to enjoy a peaceful walk while feeling the gentle flow of the river.
The best time to visit is from March to April when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. During this period, the entire park is bathed in a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere. It is a perfect place to experience the changing nuances of nature.

Because the park is maintained by a local preservation society, visitors can experience a sense of the community's dedication to nature conservation. While there are no major large-scale events listed, the primary activity is the peaceful appreciation of the natural scenery during the peak spring season.
The park is located just a 5-minute walk west of the 'Sakura no Baba' area in Iwaki Park. Due to its position along the Naka River, the surrounding area offers an open, expansive landscape typical of riverfront scenery.
