Hakusan Domon is a massive natural sea arch formed by marine erosion, located at Cape Ashizuri in Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture. The relentless waves of the Pacific Ocean have spent countless years sculpting the granite mountains, creating a grand opening measuring 16m in height, 17m in width, and 15m in depth. It is widely considered one of the largest natural arches in Japan. When looking out from inside the cave, the blue sky and ocean are framed by the rock, creating a dramatic and cinematic landscape that allows visitors to feel the immense power and beauty of nature.
As a masterpiece of natural creation, this site is designated as a natural monument of Kochi Prefecture.
