The Hakone Sightseeing Cruise is a scenic excursion around Lake Ashi in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture. Togendai Port serves as a vital hub for many travelers, as it is located right next to the terminus of the Hakone Ropeway, making it easy to integrate into your sightseeing route.

In particular, as the ship passes near the Motohakone area, you can capture the iconic sight of the 'Peace Torii' standing in the lake with Mt. Fuji in the background. This is the most photogenic spot of the Lake Ashi cruise. The ships also feature different designs, such as the 'Royal II,' 'Queen Ashi,' and 'Victory,' each offering a unique atmosphere.
Lake Ashi displays different faces throughout the seasons. You can enjoy fresh greenery in spring and vibrant autumn foliage in the fall. For the clearest views of Mt. Fuji's silhouette, we highly recommend boarding during the early morning hours when the air is crisp and the weather is typically clearer. The scenery changes significantly with the seasons, so you can enjoy a different expression of the lake every time you visit.
Inside the ships, you can feel as if you have traveled back in time. Walk through the heavy, grand designs inspired by warships and enjoy the panoramic views of the lake while feeling the breeze on the deck. Although the one-way trip takes only about 30 minutes, the experience is incredibly dense and offers a special moment where the nature of Hakone meets historical design.
Togendai Port is a highly convenient base that seamlessly connects land and water transport. It is located adjacent to the end of the Hakone Ropeway, allowing for easy routes toward Owakudani via the ropeway or toward the Motohakone area via the Hakone登山 (Hakone Tozan) Bus. It is an ideal starting point for your exploration.
The ships are designed with open decks. Depending on the season and weather, it can become quite windy, so please prepare appropriate clothing (such as a light jacket) for the deck. When taking photos of the scenery, please be mindful of other passengers. Payments can be made via credit cards, transportation IC cards (like Suica/Pasmo), or cash. While English signage is available, it is recommended to check details in advance if you need specific information.
