Fumotoppara is a vast camping and accommodation facility located at the foot of Mt. Fuji in the Asagiri Plateau, Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Under the concept of "Life in Nature for Everyone," it provides a landscape that utilizes the natural environment to offer a sense of healing away from the stresses of daily life. The topography is specifically designed so that visitors can gaze upon the majestic silhouette of Mt. Fuji from almost any point within the campsite.
Fumotoppara has been operated for many years as a place that conveys the blessings of nature at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Since its inception, it has cherished the changing scenery of each season, serving as a place to experience the raw intensity and beauty of the natural world. Today, it is a beloved destination for many campers who seek to reconnect with the greatness of nature through a lifestyle centered around the outdoors.

The grounds feature various areas where you can truly feel the essence of nature, characterized by vast grasslands and trees that change expression with every season. The facility also distributes "Fumoto," a free magazine containing useful information for campers, and occasionally hosts seasonal events. At the on-site shop, you can find exclusive items such as Fumotoppara original wine, milk stew, and stickers, allowing you to take a piece of this unique experience home with you.
The appearance of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding environment changes significantly depending on the season. From spring to summer, you can enjoy the beautiful fresh greenery and the melting snow of the mountain. In autumn, the landscape turns with colorful foliage and natural elements like acorns. In winter, temperatures drop drastically, and seeing stoves in use at the campsites is common. While the daytime scenery is bright and beautiful, temperatures drop sharply after sunset; therefore, we highly recommend preparing your lanterns and lighting early.
While the primary activity is staying overnight at the campsite, visitors can enjoy much more than just camping. Depending on the season, musical events may be held, offering a chance to experience music in the open air. You can also enjoy the local food culture through seasonal menus or items purchased at the shop, such as traditional New Year's buckwheat noodles (Toshikoshi Soba) or Amazake. Living in harmony with the natural cycle is the true essence of this location.
