Flower Park Urashima
8 min di letturaOverview & Charm
Flower Park Urashima is a scenic destination located along the coast of Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, featuring sprawling fields of marguerite flowers. The most striking feature is the view of white marguerites set against the deep blue of the Seto Inland Sea. From late April to mid-May, the landscape is completely blanketed in white blossoms. During this period, the admission fee includes a flower picking experience, allowing visitors to truly connect with nature and the changing seasons.
History & Cultural Background
The facility provides a space to appreciate natural beauty through seasonal flowers within a rich, local environment. Utilizing its prime location by the calm shores of the Seto Inland Sea, the park maintains its flower fields with a focus on marguerites. The management system includes a system for operational cooperation funds to help maintain the natural environment and seasonal flower displays, ensuring that tourism and nature preservation go hand in hand.

Main Highlights
The greatest highlight is the view during the peak bloom in May. The sight of white flowers stretching to the horizon, contrasted against the blue sea, is truly spectacular. Additionally, since the admission fee covers the flower picking activity, visitors can actually touch and pick the flowers, making it a highly interactive and memorable experience. The open seaside location offers a refreshing atmosphere for viewing seasonal landscapes.
Seasonal & Time-of-Day Recommendations
The best season to visit is from late April to mid-May, when the marguerites are in full bloom. This is when the white flower fields look most magnificent. The park is open from 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry at 16:00). Visiting during the bright daylight hours allows you to clearly see the stunning contrast between the white flowers and the blue Seto Inland Sea.

Experiences & Activities
At Flower Park Urashima, you can enjoy a "flower picking experience" as part of your admission fee. Being able to touch the seasonal flowers within the vast field is a precious experience for many visitors. Please note that the specific activity may change depending on the blooming status of the flowers, so it is recommended to check the local conditions before your visit.
Surrounding Area
The area around Mitoyo City is dotted with many spots where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Seto Inland Sea coastline. Nearby popular destinations like "Chichibugahama Beach" (often called the 'Udon Prefecture's Salar of Uyuni') are also great to include in your travel itinerary for a scenic drive.
