EXPOCITY is a massive, multi-purpose complex located within the Expo '70 Commemorative Park in Suita, Osaka. It serves as a hub where shopping and immersive entertainment coexist. At its heart is 'LaLaport EXPOCITY,' featuring approximately 300 diverse retail outlets. The site has a storied past, formerly being the location of the 'Expo Land' amusement park. After Expo Land closed in February 2009, the area was revitalized through a redevelopment project led by Mitsui Fudosan. Construction began in July 2014, and the complex officially opened as 'EXPOCITY' on November 19, 2015. The facility underwent further updates and renewals in March 2022 to enhance the visitor experience.

While operating hours vary by facility, the general shopping area is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, and until 9:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Visiting in the evening is highly recommended to enjoy the illuminated night views from the Ferris wheel or the vibrant atmosphere of the indoor amusement centers.
