Cave d'Occi (meaning "Occi's Wine Cellar" in French) is a destination-style winery located on the sandy terrain at the foot of Mt. Kakuda in Nishiikanpusku, Niigata City. The facility is a harmonious blend of grape cultivation, the winemaking process, and a sophisticated space designed for enjoying the fruits of that labor. Beyond just a production site, the complex features a restaurant, hot spring facilities, and hotel accommodations, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a rich, wine-centric lifestyle.
Established in 1992 as a European grape cultivation research institute, winemaking began in 1993. While the winery initially faced challenges in securing grapes, it has now achieved 100% self-sufficiency through its own cultivation in Niigata. In 2003, the facility launched a
