Bokuka no Sato offers a wide variety of hands-on experiences to connect with nature. You can create your own original items at the Kobo-bokkuri Museum (plate making), the Handmade Workshop (snow dome making), or the Floral House (potpourri making). On weekends and holidays, food-related experiences such as bread or pizza making are also available. These activities provide a wonderful opportunity to nurture creativity amidst the natural scenery.
Bokuka no Sato is conveniently located for travelers exploring Gifu Prefecture and serves as an excellent base for a regional tour. It is approximately 60 minutes by car from famous sites such as the World Heritage site Shirakawa-go, the historic streets of Takayama, and Gujo Hachiman. This allows visitors to combine a high-altitude nature experience with cultural and historical sightseeing.
Because the park is located at an altitude of 1,000 meters, temperatures are often lower and cooler than in the lowlands. Please prepare clothing appropriate for the season (bring a light jacket even in summer, and heavy warm clothing in winter). Please note that the hot spring facility "Baka" is closed until mid-December. While photography is generally permitted, please check for restrictions during specific events.
